MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police are investigating three unrelated shootings that happened on Wednesday night, July 20th and Thursday morning, July 21st.
The first shooting happened around 8:15 p.m. Wednesday near 47th and Center.
Police say an initial investigation has revealed a 53-year-old man was being robbed of his possessions when, at some point during the robbery, a physical confrontation took place and the victim was shot.
The man was taken to the hospital by family members, where he was being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The second shooting happened around 1:40 a.m. Thursday near Fond du Lac and Concordia.
Police say two groups of people became involved in a dispute, when, at some point, suspects from both groups began to shoot guns at each other.
A 27 year-old man was nearby watching the dispute when he was struck with gunfire.
He was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The third shooting happened an hour later, around 2:40 a.m.
Police responded to the area near North and Bremen.
A victim claimed he was walking in the area when a suspect riding in a vehicle fired gunshots at him.
The 27 year-old man was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
MPD is investigating these shootings.
