MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Milwaukee police are investigating three separate shooting incidents that occurred Sunday, June 9th.
The first shooting incident occurred near 34th and Wright around 5 p.m. A 29-year-old Milwaukee man tells police that he was driven to a local hospital by unknown persons after he was shot.
The victim’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. The victim has a lengthy arrest record with MPD, including several arrests for drug and weapon offences. The investigation is on-going and there are no suspects in-custody.
The second shooting incident occurred in the 5700 block of N. 76th Street at approximately 6:10 p.m. According to police, a 33-year-old Milwaukee man was shot in the rear of a residence and was conveyed to a local hospital where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators believe that the shooting stemmed from a prior altercation with the suspects.
Four suspects are in custody.
The third incident occurred in the 2200 block of N. 16th Street at approximately 6:50 p.m.
According to officials, a 35-year-old Milwaukee man was shot outside of a residence. The victim has a lengthy arrest record with MPD, including several arrests for drug and weapon offences, and investigators believe this incident was drug related.
There are no suspects in custody.
