MILWAUKEE (WITI) — U.S. Marshals are looking for 28-year-old Walter Collier.
Collier is charged with first-degree recklessly endangering safety, possession of a firearm by a felon and providing a dangerous weapon to a person under 18.
U.S. Marshals say on April 6th, Milwaukee police on patrol near 29th and Locust heard gunshots and saw a man running from the scene. A criminal complaint says the man tossed a gun on the ground and ordered a 10-year-old to hide it for him.
Witnesses told police that “Snuggles” shot a woman in the leg after an argument. U.S. Marshals say “Snuggles” is Collier’s nickname — and they think he is still in Milwaukee.
Collier is 5’10” and weighs 150 pounds. His tattoos include a cross on his upper right arm, praying hands with a cross on his left forearm, and the number 39 with flames on his right forearm.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call U.S. Marshals at 414-297-3707.
Collier hasn’t been seen by law enforcement since the shooting.
